Description: Through hands on activities, campers will investigate fascinating topics in human and animal biology including neuroscience, human organs, genetics, and animal behavior. On Friday, we will take a field trip to the High Park zoo, and each child will conduct a naturalistic observation on an animal of their choice.

Dates: August 6 - 9

Description: Campers will take a scientific approach to gymnastics. Campers will learn about the science behind how the human body is able to perform gymnastics and other remarkable physical feats. Campers will conduct a small experiment to answer their own research question related to gymnastics or exercise. The week will culminate in a combined gymnastics show and science fair for parents.

Dates: August 12-16

Description: During mathematics week, children will stretch their brains as they explore what we consider to be some of the most fascinating concepts of mathematics that are accessible to children.  Possible topics include infinity, cryptography (using math to send secret messages), the hidden math in Alice and Wonderland, logic and proof (learning about how to show a statement is true or false), math games and puzzles, the math of visual art, and unsolved problems in mathematics.
