Camper Code of Conduct

We have created a code of conduct, outlined below, to ensure the safety and well being of every camper and counselor attending THINK DAY CAMP. It is essential that every camper reads or has their caregiver read them the code of conduct, comprehends it, and agrees to abide by it via their signature. It is also essential that every caregiver confirms, with a signature, that they are confident their camper will be able to follow this code of conduct while at THINK DAY CAMP. Given that children are still learning to behave and need opportunities to learn and improve, a violation of the code of conduct will not necessarily result in removal from camp. At the same time, we need to balance the needs of all children to have opportunities to improve with the needs of all children and staff to be safe while at camp. As such, if the camp staff determine that a camper's continued attendance at camp poses a significant threat to the well being of other campers or staff, and all other options have been exhausted (ex. recruitment of a 1:1 aid, a discussion with the camper and their guardian(s), etc.), THINK DAY CAMP may remove the camper from camp. In such a situation, a refund is not guaranteed.

During my time at THINK DAY CAMP, I will...

1) always be respectful of counselors, teachers, other campers, and anyone else I might meet while at camp.

2) contribute positively to the experience of other campers.

3) be kind.

4) behave in ways that are safe for both me and others.

5) show respect for other people’s ideas.

6) treat the property of others with respect.

7) participate in all activities to the best of my ability.

8) pay attention to my surroundings and use care in all activities.

9) stay with the group during outings

10) do my best to listen to and follow all rules and instructions
